Belting Seminar/Workshop: De-Mystifying Belt and Super-Belt
An exciting, healthy belt sound which meets the demands of contemporary musical theatre is no longer merely "Sing out, Louise!" in your chest voice. Singing theatre music of today requires more technical skill than most singers realize until a rigorous tour, rehearsal schedule or eight shows per week put it to the test. Distinguish chest belt, mix and super-belt, and learn how legit training can enhance your belt and super-belt abilities while supporting your vocal health and longevity. Demonstrations and comparisons of live singers along with recordings of many beloved theatre-belt divas past and present will shed light, alleviate confusion and train your ears. Participants of all levels welcome. No singing required.
