“ Lisa has a great eye for
talent. I will meet with any of Lisa’s students who come to
Los Angeles to work because I know they are professional and
ready to go - I know they will be fully prepared for
whatever audition comes their way.”

| “Before I studied with
Lisa I was pegged as an ingénue soprano, and I knew I needed
a more commercial and versatile musical theater sound to
make it in today's market. In a matter of a few weeks, Lisa
was able to unlock potential in my voice that I didn't know
I had. What's amazing is that Lisa's technique has given me
a belt and rock sound while strengthening my soprano voice!
The atmosphere Lisa creates during a lesson has empowered me
by her support and knowledge about the voice. I am now able
to use all of the colors of my voice with confidence- she's
wonderful!” Krystal Wheeler, NYC (Actor) |

| “Lisa Rochelle is a very
talented actress of great charm, and she teaches with great
clarity and wisdom. It is always a pleasure to see her
students audition – they have technique!!” David Loud, B’way Conductor, Musical Director: Ragtime, Curtains, Sondheim on Sondheim, etc. (Industry Professional) |

| "I came to Lisa with a
litany of stress, bad habits and survival-techniques to get
through auditions and rehearsals. There wasn't enough joy in
my singing because I had to work so hard to "muscle" through
music, creating squeaks and tightness. Lisa could evaluate
the technical problems immediately and set me on a course to
free my voice and create lush, beautiful sounds with great
ease. My voice now has the diversity to move from classical
musical theatre to contemporary pop and rock without the
pain of over-work. I'm no longer just surviving but thriving
in a competitive industry." Aliza Loewy, NYC (Actor) |

| “Lisa is a master voice
mechanic. She is passionate about her craft and thoughtful
about her students. There are many teachers who run students
though scales and work on material, but Lisa’s lessons go
far beyond those perfunctory and superficial lessons; she
truly teaches the mechanics of the voice and its connection
to the body. She is highly skilled at isolating vocal issues
and then providing tools to maximize the voice. Her
experience on stage and focused education make her an
excellent teacher with real-world industry insight. Her
lessons are productive and individualized to a student's
voice. My daughter, who struggles with allergies and asthma,
has benefited tremendously from training with Lisa. Lisa has
impressed me on many occasions because she provides support
not only in technique and material but for the overall
health and wellness of the voice. Lisa worked with my
daughter preparing her successfully for her college MT
auditions. She is an amazing teacher, resource and person.”

| “One of the deep challenges for voice teachers here at
the O'Neill Center's NTI is the wide range of experience the
actors present. This is Lisa's great gift - she is able to
identify and connect to each person’s particular vocal
issue, and immediately help that person grow. I have seen
her mentor actors who have never sung in public and actors
who have made singing an important part of their lives. For
those two extremes and all in between, Lisa challenges,
nurtures and brings to a whole new level of proficiency. She
brings out the voice in the artist.” David Jaffe, Artistic Director, National Theatre Institute- O'Neill Theatre Center (Industry Professional & Educator) |

| “My agent insisted that I
continue studying with my previous teacher because this
teacher was one of THE teachers to be working with – the
name looked good on my resume and I was ‘in good company’
with my professional peers. All I knew was that I was
vocally ‘stuck’, and every time I asked my former teacher
(THE teacher) questions, the answer given to me was not to
ask so many questions, but just to do the exercises and they
would do the work. Well, they didn’t – for me. A musical
director friend of mine recommended Lisa, and I knew
instantly that she was the person for me – In one or two
lessons I learned more about the voice, about MY VOICE, and
what I had been doing to sabotage my high belt and legit
range than I had in all my lessons with my other (THE)
teacher. Lisa helped me to identify and isolate my technical
issues immediately, and we began the process of ‘undoing’ so
that I could achieve what I always knew I could vocally, but
what I could not consistently reproduce. Although it was
difficult work at first, what I have gained in ease and
beauty of overall vocal production, ‘power’ without ‘push’
in my belt and high belt and increase in legit range as
well, is something I feel I now “own”, thanks to Lisa’s
teaching and passion about her work. Her knowledge and
resources with regard to alternative health choices and
vocal health have also been tremendously helpful. I can’t
say enough about how Lisa has helped me reclaim my power, as
well as my voice. I am now working on changing my agent…”

| “I came to Lisa Rochelle
after being on a grueling national tour for 6 months. Very
little sleep, moldy hotel rooms and less then great
technique had fried my singing voice. You could drive a
truck through my vibrato and I had lost the whole top of my
range. What once had been a joy became frustrating and
unpleasant. My confidence was shot and I was not sure if I
would ever be able to sing confidently and beautifully
again.
My first several lessons were difficult. I felt as though we had to pull the pieces apart and start all over. I never had the greatest technique and was able to get by. Lisa is by far the best teacher I've ever had (she is number 5!). In the past year I've learned more then I learned in the 15 years of lessons prior. Proper breath control and the release of tongue and muscle tension have completely changed the way sing. The top part of my range is back (High D's!!) and my belt/mix is healthier and more supported then ever. Lisa is extremely knowledgeable and I was confident with her teaching from day one. There is no mystery or voodoo about why certain things work. Even the craziest exercise is explained in a scientific manner. I honestly believe that
Lisa could help even the most seasoned performer to sing
healthier and more confidently!” |

| “Lisa's ability to ‘break
down’ a song and mold it to whatever audition you have is
invaluable. She also has a way of getting right "to it".
Many times I would come to class with a brand new piece and
no time to prepare, and by the end of class I felt as if I
had been doing it for years! Lisa also taught me that
auditioning is performing - to think if it as "your chance
to do what you love most". As actors we all love to perform,
but seldom have that opportunity when first starting out.
However once Lisa taught me HOW to turn auditioning INTO
performing...wow...my entire career changed...and I began to
work. There is NO DOUBT that Lisa’s teaching, guidance and
expertise was directly responsible for my first big job
(Broadway National Tour of Guys & Dolls) and that Lisa’s
continued coaching led to other successes, including
securing my new agent and subsequent Broadway shows.” Jay Brian Winnick, LA and NY (Actor) |

| “My daughter recently
attended a Broadway Workshop where she was the youngest
teen. The person who ran the workshop told us that "Taylor
was one of the best, if not THE BEST singer at the
workshop!" This is all due to Lisa's teaching. Lisa works
not only on vocal technique, she works on your diction,
tone, acting and presentation. She helps my daughter "steal
the show", and keeps the very closest of eyes on my
daughter's vocal health at all times.. Driving over 3 hours
round trip for Taylor to have her lessons with Lisa Rochelle
every week would be a terrible burden if it were not for the
fact that Lisa has helped turn Taylor into the lead singer
in almost every show she does in community theatre on Long
Island (currently Mimi in Rent and ….in “13”. We love Lisa
and are very grateful for her contributions to Taylor's
success!” Marcia Feingold, Mom of Taylor (Parent) |

| “Lisa Rochelle has been my
teacher since I was 13 years old. After we work on a song or
a scene together, I feel so confident in presenting it, and
always get great reviews! Lisa is such a kind and caring
teacher, she always makes me feel as though I can do
anything! Lisa has been one of the most positive influences
in my life, not only in my singing and performing career,
but I can take a lot of her lessons into other areas such as
school. Lisa Rochelle has made a difference in my life that
will last forever! Taylor Feingold, age 15 (Teen) |

| “Lisa Rochelle is highly
skilled at taking the mystery out of the act of singing. She
was a great help to the trainees of the (Alexander
Teacher-Training) program much due to her in depth
understanding of the physiology involved in the act of
singing, her patience and exuberance, and her extensive
training in and understanding of the Alexander technique
itself.” Thomas Lemens, Director of the Institute of the Alexander Technique (Educator) |

| “Lisa Rochelle taught a
Voice and Performance workshop for 10 teenage cast members.
Most of the young cast members had little, if any,
experience in singing. Though only a single workshop, the
results for the cast were palpable. As singers, the girls
were more confident in performance and more aware of their
vocal power and how to control it.” Luc Hotaling Chair, Drama Department, The Chapin School (Educator) |
